The Control Policy Group specializes in data security projects in Central Europe.  Control Policy is conducting  free online data security workshops, every Thursday afternoon, from  Thursday September 3, 2009 15:00 GMT/16:00 CET. Each workshop is a Web conference with a 15-20′ presentation followed by 15′ of questions and answers. After the workshop – the presentation and audio podcast will be made available online to the participants.  Participation is free – click here to register.

Free Risk Assessment Software

PTA (Practical Threat Analysis) is great free risk assessment software which we’ve found useful in a our internal security data loss prevention projects for all kinds of customers – telecom, banking, financial services, diamond trading and advanced technology manufacturers.

PTA is a frequently updated power  tool for anyone involved  in the data collection and risk analysis phases of risk management.  It interfaces easily with network vulnerability asessment applications such as Nessus and we wrote an interface to Fidelis Security Systems XPS to collect threats and  vulnerabilities  in databases, Web applications and file systems on a corporate network.

PTA  has an active security consultant community who serve as qualified advisors for PTA implementations.
