Danny,

Thanks for bringing extra attention to this issue. Aaron is an old friend now, and can be credited for giving me my first break in online publishing. I cut my teeth at ML-Implode writing on the financial crash.

Of note to other writer, bloggers, free speech proponents and online publishers: ML-Implode has been fighting for our collective rights for several years now:

They have been the subject of a groundless lawsuit that, if lost, would have chilling implications for free speech on the web and our ability as individuals and small e-publishing outfits to post factual information freely without fear of reprisal in the form of frivolous lawsuits by more well heeled and monied interests who prefer not to be taken to task - which the mainstream media rarely does.

Still in doubt is legal recognition of the blogger's role as citizen journalist, and the protections that come with that recognition. Your right to write is constantly being threatened by corporate interests - including large media outlets and newspapers, who have felt the sting of lost revenues due to the advent of the simple blog.

Careful, we are still on disputed ground.
